'Betrayal' by Irene Lofthouse

Snow.

Falling heavily. As I had. Sweating, running from her. Me, mirror-caught in action. Red drips, seeps to watery pink. Ragged breath, ankle wrench, my choked howl. Knife lodges in ribs piercing my broken heart. Thrumming through my blood anger, memories, leaving no trace. Fading, I catch a bark; my beautiful traitorous husky, Snow.
