'One day in the ancient bathroom…' by Joyce Bingham

 

Never seen her before, youngish I’d say, what do you think cistern? She’s looking at you bath. I know you have lost your shine and inherited some rings and stains on your enamel, but we love you. Toilet pan, what’s she poking at with that stick? Taps. Taps, what’s she looking at down the sink plughole? She has an orange bucket with her and yellow rubber gloves. Gird your water stains everyone, I think she is going to clean.
