'Mine By Rights' by Madeleine Armstrong

Before I walked out of that office I handed back my key fob, laptop, phone and company credit card, but as I strode through reception I grabbed my award, Commentator of the Year, which sat on a shelf in pride of place, gleaming chrome and glass; I snatched it like I owned it, which I did really, the least I deserved after all those years in that shithole, the best years of my life, wasted, and if anyone noticed me take it they didn’t say anything.
