This is it, Konstantin thought. I’ll give up. He’d evaluated dozens of applications for the Troll Bridge Memorial, but none of them had that special something that would justify spending foundation’s money on them.
He was ready to stop for the day when his eyes caught the name on the next email. Anton Mihailov – didn’t the Mihailovs make mosaics? That might actually work.
He opened the attached folder. The drawings of stones in different colours, engraved with the victims’ names, shaped the faces of a man and a woman when put together. Simple, yet evocative.
