The human company, Unicorp, has always denied culpability but now e has proven that it covered up a fatal flaw in the alien technology used to access the interspatial bridge matrix. This matrix was critical to traverse the space between the stars, in timeframes conducive to human lifespans. The Sol system node collapse echoed through the wider network, cutting off access to the human zone of influence and effectively went dark to the rest of the galactic community.
Little remains of the human civilisation that bloomed, bright and vivid -– bursting across the galaxy unannounced. Only their stories and deserted monuments can be found on a few remote systems and even then these are in the most inaccessible parts of the galaxy, where the node network has never recovered.
